Since I opened my studio in the heart of Stäfa, it came to my attention that there seems to be no more photographers around doing any service regarding passport pictures. Swiss citizens normally travel to Zurich to have it done all in one place at the passport bureau. Well, as one third of the country is not equipped with a Swiss passport, they need assistance which I provided in the past. People in desperate need for a passport entered my studio while I was around by accident and had their picture taken.
I am happy to have helped the following nationalities: China, Great Britain, Tunesia, Marocco, Germany, USA, Switzerland, South Africa, Argentina, Italy, and many more to follow… 🤓
And please do not expect masterpieces. The art of passport pictures is a sad story with no space for smiles.

Seit ich mein Studio mitten in Stäfa eröffnet habe, ist mir aufgefallen, dass es hier kaum noch Fotografen gibt, die Passfotos anbieten. Viele Schweizer gehen dafür direkt nach Zürich ins Passbüro, wo alles an einem Ort erledigt wird. Aber – rund ein Drittel der Leute hier hat keinen Schweizer Pass oder man braucht nur etwas weniger “offizielles” wie für ein SBB-Abo oder den Führerschein und braucht daher eine andere Lösung. Ich hab in der Vergangenheit gerne geholfen: Immer wieder standen Menschen plötzlich im Studio, brauchten dringend ein Passfoto – und wenn ich grad da war, hab ich natürlich eines gemacht.
Ich hatte schon Besucher aus China, Großbritannien, Tunesien, Marokko, Deutschland, den USA, der Schweiz, Südafrika, Argentinien, Italien... und die Liste wird sicher noch länger.
Ach ja – erwarte bitte keine Kunstwerke. Passfotos sind eine ernste Angelegenheit – und Lächeln ist leider nicht erlaubt. 😅
