Fund Manager Portraits

Tungsten came with one instruction: no backdrops. No white wall, no grey gradient, none of the usual furniture of finance photography.

So we shot the team where they actually work, in Zurich and Frankfurt, over three days, all of it in black and white. Reportage rather than headshots: people at desks, in corridors, mid-conversation, occasionally aware of the camera and mostly not.

Black and white suits finance better than it should. Take the colour away and what's left is the people.
