Grünliberale Partei Kampagnen

For the cantonal and national elections, Rod Kommunikation brought me in to photograph the Grünliberale candidates, along with Stadtrat candidate Andreas Hauri, who was running for re-election.

Rod had a tight creative concept, and campaign photography is one of the few genres where tight is exactly right. Dozens of candidates, one visual language, every portrait built to work on a poster, a flyer and a website at once. Clean studio light, no dramatic shadows, no interpretation. The discipline is the craft.

Andreas Hauri got the exception: an outdoor shoot at dawn, on what may have been the only sunny morning of the Swiss summer of 2021. We picked the locations on the walk through Enge and were done by mid-morning. Campaigns move fast. That morning, so did the weather window.
